Triptych – GFW opening scene

piano scene sketch triptych

A triptych!  I picked a format for the opening scene for my graphic novel that I feel like I can detail and move on.

This piano sequence isn’t pivotal in itself, but being the opening scene for the story it’s important as a good first impression.  It’s a deceptive scene, because things go from zero to sixty quickly from this point.  The confusion I wan’t the reader to sense is similar to what I experienced in real life while living in Chicago.  The surreal sensation of a casual routine setting turning horribly wrong around you in a matter of seconds.
